PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden building in which panels and long support members for a floor can be easily fitted and a high horizontal strength can be obtained. SOLUTION: This wooden building is provided with vertical members 1, horizontal members 2, long support members 3 for floors and panels 7. The vertical members 1 and the horizontal members 2 connected to each other form an opening A. The width H of the panel 7 is 910 mm and an insertion part 8 having 22. 5-120 mm in notched height and 45-105 mm in notched width is formed ahead of time at both ends or one end of the right and left direction of the lower end. Further, the panels are fixed to the indoor faces of the vertical members 1 and the horizontal members 2 respectively at the four sides, and the long support members 3 for the floor are inserted in the insertion parts and fixed to the horizontal members 2.
