PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost of a metal gasket capable of securing roundness around a cylinder by making surface pressure uniform compaired without cost of a conventional technique. SOLUTION: This metal gasket 10 is the one that a metallic substrate 1 and an edge plate 2 increasing seal pressure around a cylinder are laminated. A seal width around the cylinder by the edge plate 2 is made narrow near a bolt hole 12 in which surface pressure generated at the time of tightening a bolt becomes high and is made wide between the bolt hole 12 and the bolt hole 12 in which surface pressure becomes low.
