PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a gasket follow the distortion generated in a housing at the time of housing the gasket having a half bead in a housing recessed part provided on one opposed surface of a pair of housings by mounting the basket in the state where the half bead is compressed but not fully compressed when the housings are combined. SOLUTION: A gasket mounting housing recessed part 23 is provided within the plane of a lower housing 21. The depth of the housing recessed part 23 is set larger than the thickness of the base plate part 2 of a gasket 1 and smaller than the height in free state of the gasket. According to this, when the gasket 1 is housed in the housing recessed part 23, and an upper housing 27 is assembled thereto, the gasket 1 can be mounted in the state where a half bead 5 is compressed in height direction but not fully compressed. Thus, the half bead 5 can be used in an elastic area having relatively high compression restorability, and the compression restorability can be effectively used. Accordingly, the gasket 1 having the half bead 5 can follow the distortion or the like generated in the housings 21, 27.
