PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing hairline data and a system therefor, capable of easily correcting hairlines through rendering the data for creating the aimed hairline pattern to vector type. SOLUTION: This method for preparing hairline data comprises the following procedure: the two-dimensional scalar field of fiber submerged angle is first inputted for preparing the aimed hairline pattern; based on the above scalar field, a pseudohairlines are formed to determine the coordinate values of control points for preparing respective hairlines, and the coordinate values either as they are, or after thinned out, are registered as hairline data; thus, since the hairline data are rendered to vector type represented as the coordinate values of control points for drawing the respective hairlines, the hairlines can be easily corrected with small data volume. |
