PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR THE TREATMENT OF WASTE WATER

A waste water treatment system in which incoming waste water is initially separated by a separator (10) into solid and liquid components. The solid waste is then incinerated in a microwave reactor chamber (12). A dual filter arrangement (26) is provided for removing any suspended solid remnants from the liquid component exiting the separator (10). The solid remnants removed by the dual filter arrangement can be incinerated using microwave energy generated by the microwave generators (32). A cylindrical holding tank (42) including n dosing siphon (43) and electrolysis oxidant cell arrangement (46) is provided downstream of the dual filter arrangement for disinfecting the liquid. An ultaviolet polishing cell (48) may be provided downstream of the holding tank to further disinfect the liquid.
