PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided to prevent leakage current generated from a scan signal line or an image signal line to an external direction signal line. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a pixel region enclosed in a scan signal line, an image signal line and an external direction signal line and constructed on a liquid crystal side of a transparent plate. liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a thin film transistor (TFT) driven by supplying of the scan signal from the scan signal line in the respective pixel region, a pixel electrode being provided an image signal from the image signal line through the TFT, and an external direction electrode coupled to the external direction signal line separate from the pixel electrode.
