PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize adhesion equal to that of a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate- based resin without evolving dioxin when burned by employing a graft polymer obtained by graft polymerization of a radically polymerizable monomer to a high mol.wt. polyhydroxy polyether resin. SOLUTION: The objective lacquer composition comprises a graft polymer obtained by graft polymerizing a radically polymerizable monomer to a trunk polymer comprising a high mol.wt. polyhydroxy polyether resin represented by the formula: [-D-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-]n (wherein D is a divalent phenol residue; and (n) is a number of 10-220). As the high mol.wt. polyhydroxy polyether resin, there can be exemplified an epoxy resin derived from bisphenol A or a phenoxy resin, and those having a number average mol.wt. of around 3,000-20,000 are preferable. As the radically polymerizable monomers can be mentioned, for example, aromatic vinyl compounds such as styrene and the like, alkyl (meth) acrylate esters and the like.
