PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled type wood crushing machine suitably enhanced in the degree of freedom of the automatic control of a rotary tab and a crusher to be enhanced in crushing efficiency. SOLUTION: A crusher load detection means 8b detecting the number Nm of rotations of a crusher as load, a crusher overload judging means 5 receiving the number Nm of rotations from the crusher load detection means 8b to compare the same with the predetermined lower limit number No of rotations to judge the overload of the crusher 1 and a crusher reversing means 6 receiving the overload data from the crusher overload judging means 5 to reverse the crusher 1 are provided.
