PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a tape by altering a direction of the tape irrespective of a right-handed or left-handed user in a tape applicator for simply sticking a film- like, sheet-like or foil-like adhesive substance in a necessary length on a carrier such as a double-sided adhesive tape or the like. SOLUTION: The tape applicator A comprises a case 1, a tape supply unit 2, a tape recovering unit 3 and a transfer member 4. In this case, the unit 2 for feeding a work tape T from a roll TR to supply the tape to the member 4, and the unit 3 for recovering a base tape are contained in the case 1. The member 4 wrapped with the tape T is rotatably regulated within a range of 180 deg. in an axially circumferential direction.
