PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a foreign matter of Porphyra by pressing a net of substrata for Porphyra attachment in a progression side of an ark under the water surface by a specific method and removing foreign matters in the Porphyra by sedimentation separating the foreign matters attached to the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment or Porphyra raw algae by shaking or vibrating the net of substrata for Porphyra, and to pluck raw algae of Porphyra from the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment in the ark after the removing. SOLUTION: This method foe removing of foreign matters from Porphyra is performed by pressing a net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 in a progression side of an ark 1 while progressing the ark 1 in along direction of the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 by passing under the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 and foreign matters attached to the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 or Porphyra raw algae are sedimentation separated by shaking or vibrating the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment. Preferably, foreign matters floating from the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 in the progression side are introduced to outside of the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2 and removed from the net of substrata for Porphyra attachment 2.
