PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery powered insecticide transpiration apparatus simply usable at any place without using an AC power supply, having sufficient insecticidal/insect proofing effect duration time and excellence in terms of cost. SOLUTION: This battery powered insecticide transpiration apparatus is equipped with a radiation plate 3 arranged so as to come into contact with a mat 1 containing an insecticide, etc., and with a heat generating means using a battery 5 [obtained by making the thickness of an inorganic PTC (positive characteristic thermistor) 0.8-1.2 mm, providing electrode plates on the top and the bottom of the inorganic PTC to form a heating element unit 4 and connecting the heating element unit to a battery 5 of 2-7 V whole capacity and having 1-10Ωinitial resistivity]. The radiation plate is heated to 90-130 deg.C surface temperature to transpire an insecticide [a cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester-based pyrethroid having >=1.0×10-4 mmHg vapor pressure (20 deg.C)].
