PURPOSE: An accuracy control apparatus of a servo motor is provided to accurately control a drum velocity on the basis of a difference between a read synchronous pattern and a reference synchronous pattern. CONSTITUTION: The accuracy control apparatus of a servo motor comprises: an equalizer(220) which compensates a deterioration of data read from a tape(200); a velocity detector(300) which receives data from the equalizer, detects a generation of a synchronous pattern in each block, and detects a value of the velocity according to the generation times; and a controller(340) which controls current applied to a servo motor(230) according to a difference between a reference velocity and an output of the velocity detector.
