EFFECT COATINGS WITH COLOUR IMPRESSION DEPENDING ON VIEWING ANGLE

PURPOSE: An effect coatings with color impression depending on viewing angle are called the cholesteric effect coatings which have the light color impression. The effect coatings are provided for a color effect depending on the viewing angle from one or more no setting cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer. CONSTITUTION: A process for producing an effect coating with a color impression depending on the viewing angle in which one or more no setting cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer(s) or at least one non setting nematic and at least one non setting cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer is/are applied in the form of a melt of in solution to the object to be coated and converted by heat treatment into a film with a color effect depending on the viewing angle. The effect coatings consist of cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer. The accurate reflect color is differed by viewing angle, especially a spiral pitch.
