PURPOSE: An optical transmission device reduces jitter, noises, power-consumption, and a production cost. CONSTITUTION: An optical transmission device of 622MHz having a data processor for processing STM-N data includes a first chip(30). The first chip converts the received optical signal to an electrical signal, performs a clock restoration and data detection, detects a signal loss, and converts the data processed in the data processor to an optical signal. A second chip(32) converts the detected data by a predetermined clock to a parallel data, outputs the parallel data to the data processor, converts the output data of the data processor to a serial data by using the predetermined clock, and outputs the serial data to the first chip. A logic part selectively provides the detected clock and internal clock to the first chip on the basis of the signal loss. |
