PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying a caption at two screens of a television is disclosed to enhance a user's convenience. CONSTITUTION: Composite video signals(CVm,CVs) are provided through a main/subsidiary tuner(11,21). A first switch(SW1) is responsive to a control signal from a microcomputer(50) to provide one of composite video signals to a caption decoder(50'). A pair of synchronization divider(13,23) extracts a vertical synchronization signal(VDm, VDs) and a horizontal synchronization signal(HDm,HDs) from the composite video signals(CVm,CVs). A second switch(SW2) selects one of the vertical synchronization signal(VDm, VDs) and the horizontal synchronization signal(HDm,HDs) to provide the selected signal to the microcomputer(50). A PIP video mixer(30) mixes a PIP composite video signal(CVp) and the composite video signals(CVm,CVs). |
