摘要 PURPOSE: A volume holographic digital storage system is provided to store and regenerate hologram data of a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: The volume holographic digital storage system comprise: a source of light(210) for generating laser beam; a beam extender(220) for extending the laser beam from the source of light(210) to a predetermined dimensions; a storage medium(230) having a structure of a right-angled triangle sectional shape which has an incline plane connecting a front side and a back side, for dividing the laser beam from the beam extender(220) into a signal beam and a reference beam on the basis of the incline plane, wherein the storage medium transmits the signal beam to a first path in parallel with an incidence direction of the laser beam and the reference beam to a second path perpendicular to the incidence direction of the laser beam, stores an interference pattern generated by a light-modulated signal beam of a third path and a reference beam of a fourth path and regenerates the light-modulated signal beam at an incidence of the reference beam for regeneration; a refraction mirror(240) for reflecting the signal beam of the second path 180 degree by use of twice reflection working and for reflecting the reflected signal beam of the second path to the third path; a mirror(250) for deflecting the reference source of the second path 180 degree by use of twice deflection working and deflecting the reference source thus deflected to the fourth path; a spatial light modulator(260) for modulating the signal beam by a page unit of binary data of the brightness and shade by pixels in accordance with received data, to apply the modulated signal to the storage medium; and a charge coupled device(270) for converting the modulated signal beam regenerated from the storage medium(230) into an electrical signal.
