PURPOSE: A resin composition containing a Polyarylene Sulfide(PAS) is provided which has excellent impact resistance and moldability, particularly when used for compression molding. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises: (a) 98-50mass% of a PAS, (b) 1-25mass% of a polyolefin, and (c) an alpha olefin copolymer containing epoxy group, wherein the polyolefin (b) is at least one polyethylene resin selected from the group consisting of linear, low- and ultralow- density polyethylene. The polyolefin (b) and the olefin copolymer containing epoxy group (c) each are dispersed as fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.10 to 3.00 micro meter in the composition, and the mass ratio of (b) to (c) is 1:5-5:1.
