PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonwoven fabric mat material using a large quantity of fine powder of Bicho-coal or bamboo coal excellent in both deodorizing and moisture-conditioning abilities and having such a characteristic as to emit anions as well so as to seldom lose the fine powder. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric mat material 1 is obtained by firmly binding fine powder 3 of Bicho-coal or bamboo coal at 10-60 g/m2 via a water- soluble adhesive onto the whole surface and interior of a nonwoven fabric 2 made of synthetic fiber and having a porosity of >=50% and thickness of >=2 mm so as to render the fine powder denser at the interlaced points of the fibers.
