PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller lubricant sampling device capable of sampling and replacing the lubricant of the bearing for a grinding roller without entering a vertical roller mill and stopping the operation of this mill. SOLUTION: A roller shaft 2, a pivot bracket 4 and a mill casing 8 have through-holes 2c, 4c and 8c extending along the rotary shaft Z of a grinding roller 1. Blind lids 11 and 12 are respectively provided to the through-hole 4c of the pivot bracket 4 and the through-hole 8c of the mill casing 8 and flexible expansion joints 14 are provided so as to airtightly connect the periphery of the through-hole 4c and that of the through-hole 8c. The sampling and replacement of lubricant can be performed through the through-holes 2c, 4c and 8c.
