PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve finishing performance by preventing possible wrinkles caused under pressing while removing the wrinkles, in a clothes press apparatus for smoothing wrinkles and creasing by sandwiching and heating clothes or the like arranged between a fixed plate and a mobile plate. SOLUTION: Clothes area sandwiched and heated between a fixed plate 15 and a mobile plate 17 both equipped with heaters and magnetic bodies while a press sheet 19 is arranged between the fixed plate 15 and the mobile plate 17. A plurality of magnet bodies 21 on the mobile plate are caused to be attracted on the magnetic bodies provided on the fixed plate 15 through the press sheet. Thus, trousers to be pressed can be held while thoroughly removing slackening thereof to be sandwiched and heated.
