PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy for a batter to take timing by nearly equalizing the movement of a foreswing by a pitching arm mechanism to that of a swing by human arms. SOLUTION: This machine is provided with the pitching arm mechanism pitching a ball 2 supplied for at a ball supplying position, a foreswing means for allowing the pitching arm mechanism to make a foreswing and swing stoppers 101 and 102. The pitching arm mechanism is provided with a first arm 89 to be swung by the foreswing means and a second arm 96 freely rotatably connected with the tip part of the first arm 89 and the foreswing of the pitching arm mechanism is finished by the rotation of the second arm 96 according to inertia after the first arm 89 is stopped by the swing stopper. In a manner like this, the speed of the pitched ball is saved to make the ball easy to hit like a smooth ball pitched by a human hand.
