PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a foot mold especially ideal for the making of slat skating boots lately gaining popularity. SOLUTION: A mold taking material 5 having a urethane foaming sol 3 before being foamed housed in a soft bag 2 suitable for taking a mold is placed in a moldform 1 into which at least one foot can be inserted and then, a foot is put into the moldform and the work is left alone until the urethane foaming sol 3 is foamed and hardened. In this manner, a mold is taken covering the foot sole, front and rear and right and left sides of the foot and the perimeter of the rear part of the ankle thereof. Then, another mold taking material 5' is set on a front part of the foot 6 inserted into the moldform 1 and the work is left alone until the urethane foaming sol 3 is foamed and hardened. In this manner, a mold is taken covering the toes of the foot 6, the upper and the perimeter of the front part of the ankle. Thereafter, the hardened mold taking material of the front part is removed and the foot is pulled off. The mold taking materials 5 and 5' are put together to assemble a female die and a gypsum sol is cast into the die to make a gypsum mold.
