LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE AND PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE USING THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE: The projection display device is provided to improve contrast of displaying picture by enriching the ratio of lights parallel to the direction which has an optimum contrast. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display includes; pixels arranged on a matrix and equipped each aperture for light-passing; micro-lenses arranged on the matrix; a micro-lens array which makes an illumination light incident to an incident plane of pixels separately. The center of each micro-lens is arranged crossed from the center axis of each pixel for enriching the ratio of lights parallel to the direction which has an optimum contrast.
