PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining fitting for a gas diffusion electrode which is a fitting for joining gas diffusion electrode pieces, has high strength, is capable of forming the large gas diffusion electrode and hardly gives rise to the leakage of an electrolyte from a joint part. SOLUTION: This joining fitting for the gas diffusion electrode is used when the gas diffusion electrode is formed by joining >=2 sheets of the gas diffusion electrode pieces to each other or when a metallic frame is mounted at the outer peripheral part of the gas diffusion electrode. The joining fitting consists of a structure in which reinforcing material consisting of tough metal as base material is made to coexist with a silver sheet 5 for connection. The tough metal is preferably a metal selected from the group consisting of nickel, stainless steel and copper. |
