PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stitch back by a simple operation even when a carriage is under an effective condition. SOLUTION: When a control device detects that a reverse stitching key is operated under a condition where an embroidery device is mounted on a sewing machine frame (a step S59), reverse stitching data are set by following reversely embroidery data. In addition, an embroidery frame is moved while an embroidery needle is moved up and down and seams are formed in the reverse direction by placing them on seams (a step S60). Therefore, when the reverse stitching is performed when the embroidery device is mounted, it becomes unnecessary to successively operate 'a help key' and 'a stitch back key' and as it can cope with an operation of reverse stitching positioned at this needle side, operability is improved.
