PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxetane copolymer that has excellent compatibility between the copolymer components, and also high water repellency because of low water absorption and high transparency by arranging the polymer chain to a specific structure. SOLUTION: This objective copolymer includes a structure of formula I [R1 is H, an alkyl, F, allkyl, furyl or the like; R2 to R4 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl; R5 is H, F, Cl; R6 is H, F, a fluoroalkyl, a (fluorinated) alkoxy; m and n are each 1-10; a and b are each 0.1-99.9]. In a preferred embodiment, this copolymer includes the recurring units b in formula I by 20-70 mol.% based on the whole amount of the copolymer. This copolymer additionally contains copolymerization components, for example, a nonionic reactive emulsifier, a hydrolyzable silyl group-bearing unsaturated monomer or the like. This copolymer is produced by, for example, radical polymerization of an oxetane compound of formula II and a fluorinated monomer of formula III or the like.
