PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To invariably use an air cleaner fitted to an air conditioner spit hole by providing a connecting means connecting at least the filter storage section of a machine body to a fitting means openably or closeably to the air conditioner spit hole, and retreating a filter for quick cooling/heating. SOLUTION: This air cleaner is provided with a photocatalyst filter 1, a light source lamp, a lighting circuit and a storing machine body 4. The machine body 4 is provided with a fitting means 5 to the air conditioner spit hole D of a vehicle, and a connecting means 6 connecting at least the filter storage section of the machine body 4 to the fitting means 5 openably/closeably to the air conditioner spit hole D. The filter 1 can be released from the air conditioner spit hole D and kept at this state as required. The filter 1 is released from the spit hole D when a large quantity of blast is required during quick cooling or heating, it is returned to the closed state in the normal operation condition, and the air in a vehicle room can be cleaned without trouble.
