PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knapsack the product control of which can be easily performed by assuredly preventing the loss of the shape of an opening in the upper surface of a main housing part, lowering a cost with easy manufacture and reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A knapsack A comprises a back plate 1, a front plate 2, a bottom plate 3 and both side plate 4 provided between the back plate 1 and the front plate 2 and a main housing part 6 opened 5 in its upper surface by connecting the outer peripheral edges 1a and 2a of the back plate 1 and the front plate 2 and the front and back end edges 3a, 3b and 4a and 4b of the bottom plate 3 and both the side plates 4 together by sewing. Bag shaped parts 16, and 17 are provided inside surface skins 14 with which the outer surfaces of the front plate 2 and both the side plates 4 are covered near to the edge of the opening 5. In the bag shaped parts 16 and 17, leaf springs 18a and 18b of circular sections made of metal strips are provided so that their protruding surfaces are directed outward. Parts near the edge of the opening 5 except the back plate side are surrounded by the leaf springs 18a and 18b.
