OIL-RESISTANT DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT PRODUCT

PURPOSE: An adhesive representing a flowing and a processing properties is provided to be suitable to be used in an elastic composite and a disposable absorbent product while containing an effective oil-resistant combination. CONSTITUTION: Disclosed is an adhesive that exhibits desired oil-resistance and processing properties. The adhesive is suitable for use in elastic composites and disposable absorbent products. In one embodiment, the adhesive exhibits the following properties; an Elastic Modulus value that is greaterr than about 4 x 105 dynes per square centimeter at 40°C across the frequency range of about 0.1 to about 100 radians per second; and Elastic Modulus in Oil value that is greaterr than about 4 x 105 dynes per square centimeter at 40°C across the frequency range of about 0.1 to about 100 radians per second; a Viscosity value of less than about 40,000 centipoise at a temperature of about 275°F; and a Viscosity value of greater than about 60,000 centipoise at a temperature of about 250°F.
