PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute elaborate power saving control in the case that plural processing parts driven by files of different styles are provided. SOLUTION: When data are fetched from a CD-ROM 122 by a desired application, a device 100 detects the style of fetched data. Then, the device 100 reads device information for applying power saving control set in advance corresponding to the detected data style and also it reads power saving control information corresponding to the device information, and it executes power saving control according to power saving control information to a device corresponding to the device information.
