PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select the optimum printer servers for every user according to the kind of printed matter in a system equipped with clients who are connected by the network and make plural output requests and plural printer servers. SOLUTION: Rules showing the correspondence between printed matter and preferential items are set at clients 2 for every user, and the printer servers 1 are provided with tables 107 for deciding the preferential items; and dynamically changing information is exchanged mutually and periodically to select and output a printer server 1 meeting conditions that a user specifies, and output completion is reported to the user together with the position of the printer 3.
