PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type fixing device characterized in that the device is inexpensive, has a considerably simple constitution, copes with a large-sized image forming device of high speed safely and copes with material to be recorded of cut paper and the like. SOLUTION: The material to be recorded P is tightly adhered onto the surface of a material to be recorded carrier member 31 by attracting a reverse side opposite to the image surface side of the material P, the material to be recorded carrier member 31 itself is heated by electromagnetic induction, or by a heating member, and then the heat on the material to be recorded carrier member is uniformly and efficiently transmitted to the material to be recorded from the rear side, and moreover the toner image on the material to be fixed rear side is uniformly and excellently thermally fixed, in spite of being the noncontact fixing type. Since the material to be recorded is stably attached/held on the surface of the material to be recorded 31, the material to be recorded of the cut paper can be stably transported, the fixing device of the noncontact type fixing method adaptable to the cut paper can be realized.
