PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and easily assembling battery having desired strength according to operational requirements by providing casings having a flat frame body having one or more receiving parts between a rib and a rib, arranging one or more cells in one or more receiving parts of the frame body, and forming a part of an outside cover composed of a thin metallic covering arranged around the frame body by a wall. SOLUTION: Desired strength is obtained in casings 3a, 3b by the presence of a frame body 15. The receiving parts 23, 25 existing between long ribs 17 and short ribs 19 house an internal constitutive part of a battery unit 1, and are used to fix an external constitutive part such as an outer wall of the casings 3a, 3b. Thus, since the strength of the casings 3a, 3b is mainly obtained by the frame body 15, an outer wall may be thin. A lithium polymer cell 5 and a support plate 27 exist in the different receiving parts of the frame body 15 separated by one of connecting ribs 21, and they do not interfere with each other, so that they are not damaged. A conductor 33 passes through the recessed part 31 of the connecting ribs 21. |
