PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a transmitted result report on the side of a personal computer(PC) system by preparing the transmitted result report concerning transmission operation after the end of image information transmitting operation and transferring the information of that transmitted result report to the PC system. SOLUTION: When the PC system performs facsimile transmission operation while utilizing facsimile equipment and when the facsimile equipment is directly operated and performs transmission operation, the facsimile equipment prepares the transmitted result report for reporting the transmitted result. Next, a connection is requested to the PC system. When such a connection request is received, the PC system responds the connection to the facsimile equipment. At the facsimile equipment, the image information of the prepared transmitted result report is transferred to the PC system.
