PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic endoscope capable of solving a problem on color reproduction and a stereoscopic effect in a stereoscopic endoscope using a single lens stereoscopic vision technique using a color filter. SOLUTION: In this device, the stereoscopic endoscope separates an observed object into color components by the color filter having at least three or more kinds of areas provided in a single optical path and having different transmission wavelength, so that a pair of images having parallax is obtained. In the stereoscopic endoscope, video output signals for a right eye and a left eye 14a and 14b being a pseudo color video having the parallax and a video output signal 14 being a color video having no parallax can be outputted.
