PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor temperature estimation method which enables size reduction, cost reduction and reliability improvement of a motor. SOLUTION: An oil-cooling system 22 on a stator 12 side and an oil-cooling system 20 of a rotor 10 are separated from each other. Cooling oil is circulated through the respective oil-cooling systems 22 and 20 by individual pumps 32 and 30 to cool the stator 12 and the rotor 10 respectively. A flow rate regulation meter is built in the pump 30 to defect the flow rate of the cooling oil of the oil-cooling system 20, A thermocouple 40 is placed at the part of the system 20 where the cooling oil before cooling the rotor 10 flows in contact therebetween and a thermocouple 42 is placed at the part of the system 20 where the cooling oil after cooling the rotor 10 flows in contact therebetween to measure the flow-in temperature and the flow-out temperature of the cooling oil respectively. From the relations between the torque and the revolution of a motor, the weight of a rotor operation atate is obtained and the rotor temperature is estimated by using an estimation formula. |
