PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply conduct the editing process within a short period of time through management, by the third management means, of an optional range of the second management means provided for management of the first management means of optional numbers for management of a plurality of data on the one to one basis. SOLUTION: A user instructs the dividing point in the title dividing process. For example, when the predetermined position of TITLE-002 is designated as the dividing point, an information file of the first title having the starting point of the divided object title as the start point and the dividing point as the ending point is created. Next, an information file (TITLE-003.VDR) of the second title having the dividing point of the division object title (TITLE-002 before division) as the start point, and the ending point thereof as the end point is created. Thereafter, name of the title after the division object title is changed and TITLE-003 is changed to TITLE-004. Thus even if the division process is performed, any change is not effected in CHUNKGROUP, CHUNK, STREAM.
