CAMERA POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the cable dedicated to the power supply for driving the turntable of a monitor camera. SOLUTION: The power supply from a coaxial cable 3 supplying the electric power to a video camera 1 is used as the power supply to the camera turntable 10. A large-capacity capacitor 6 is provided for initial rotation currents when actuating driving motors 7 and 8 of the camera turntable 10. The capacitor 6 is charged with part of the current supplied to the camera 1 to actuate the motors 7 and 8. The electric power need not be supplied separately to the camera turntable 10 and the power supply construction is simplified. Capacitors 13 and 14 are provided individually for two motors 11 and 12 of the camera turntable and can be driven independently. Further, a solar battery is provided for a camera main body and the power supply is used to operate the camera and camera turntable, thereby saving the electric power and simplifying the construction.
