PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the results of recognition with Arabic numerals in real time when recognizing the numeral strings which are speech inputted with units, such as 'thousand' and 'ten thousand'. SOLUTION: This speech recognition apparatus executes recognition processing in a speech recognition section 102 when the numeral strings consisting of plural digits are inputted sequentially from the top from an input device 101. The words obtd. as the results of the recognition are converted to numerical values in a numerical value expression processing section 104. When the word indicating the unit is inputted, the numerical value signified by the corresponding word and the value converted to the numerical value before the same are computed. The numerical value obtd. as the result of the computation is display in the Arabic numerals on a display device 112. As a result, the recognition result of the speech inputted numeral strings may be checked at all times and the display in the Chinese numerals in a table, etc., in an inadequate place without an odd feel is made possible by using the Arabic numerals. |
