PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk and an optical disk device in which the format efficiency is made higher and data are efficiently recorded at an arbitrary position. SOLUTION: In the optical disk device a recording and a reproducing of data are conducted by the optical disk using land tracks 13 and groove tracks 14 which are alternatively provided adjacent to each other. The optical disk is provided with land sections 15, which are provided by separating the tracks 13, and emboss pits 21 which are formed at the boundary between the land tracks 13 located on both sides of the groove track 14 where the land section 15 is provided and the land section 15. A region 23, which is located adjacent to the land section 15 on the land track 13 that is located on the side where the pit 21 is not formed, is the recording and reproducing interrupted region in which no recording and reproducing of data are conducted. The optical disk device interrupts a recording or a reproducing in the region 23 temporarily. |
