PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of an image. SOLUTION: This color image recorder is provided with an endless carrying belt 20, a belt traveling driving means for allowing the carrying belt 20 to travel, an image carrier which is disposed to face the carrying belt 20, to form a toner image on a surface, a contact/uncontact driving means for bringing/ separating the image carrier into contact with/from the carrying belt 20 and a delay means for driving the contact/uncontact driving means, to bring the image barrier into contact with the carrying belt 20, when a set time lapses after the belt traveling driving means starts to drive. When the set time lapses after the belt traveling driving means starts to drive and the carrying belt 20 starts to travel, the contact/uncontact driving means is driven to bring the image carrier into contact with the belt 20. |
