PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the time of taking out one document or a long-sized document in a single-side mode by controlling in such a way that the document after being read is discharged to a specified document discharge tray. SOLUTION: After feeding a first document on a document tray, a document set sensor 61 is turned off to detect the document to be only one. When reading and exposure of a single-side document is completed by a copying machine 1, the document is conveyed from contact glass 2 toward a discharge means 7 by a conveyor belt 16, and the document is held by a reverse driving roller 20 and a discharge driven roller 21 and conveyed toward a second switching claw 25 through a reverse path 30. The document is then conveyed in the front- rear reversed state to a return path 31 and returned to the contact glass 2 while being held by the driving roller 20 and a reverse driven roller 23. The contact glass 2 and the reverse path 31, and the reverse path 31 and a second discharge tray 9 are communicated with each other by the first and second switching claws 24, 25, and the document is conveyed out of the contact glass 2 and discharged to the second discharge tray 9. |
