摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate thickness measuring method which is applicable to unevenness due to corrosion, without removing corrosion products. SOLUTION: An impact applied to one end of an impact transmission rod 7 is applied directly to the base of a plate type material 3, which has corroded at the other acute end and the magnitude of the repulsion at this time is measured to find the plate thickness. When there is a reinforcing material on the reverse surface, a measurement is taken at a certain distance from the reinforcing material so as to avoid the contribution of the reinforcing material. The relation between the magnitude of the repulsion and the plate thickness is affected by the characteristics of the impact force, so that optimum characteristics of the impact force and the relation between the magnitude of the repulsion and plate thickness are made clear in advance, and this measuring method is applied.
