PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type input pen which is short enough to store and long enough to easily hold by hand and operate. SOLUTION: Since the pen tip 3 and a stopper ball 4 pull each other by the tension of a wire 5, a 1st part 2-1 and a 2nd part 2-2 never fall off carelessly. Consequently, this folding type input pen 1 can freely be handled by holding its grip part 2 which has uniform thickness by hand. When the stopper ball 3 is taken out of the opening part of the 2nd part 2-2 through a cut and the wire 5 is put in a slit, the wire 5 shrinks. In this state, the 1st part 2-1 and 2nd part 2-2 can be taken out and further when the wire 5 is put in the slit at the rear end of the 1st part 2-1 and the slit at the tip of the 2nd part 2-2, the 1st part 2-1 and 2nd part 2-2 can be folded. Namely, the folding type input pen 1 can be folded and the overall length is reduced almost to a half.
