In a spark generator, a hammer 2 is held away from a piezo-electric element 1 by a magnet 3 until pressure on a push-button 4 compresses a spring 7 sufficiently to overcome the attraction of the magnet and allows the spring to accelerate the hammer into engagement with the element. A light spring 8 returns the hammer on release of the push-button. |
