PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector switch capable of easily confirming a set sensitivity without lowering the moving speed of an object to be detected. SOLUTION: A light reception part 2 outputs light signals RS corresponding to a received light quantity and a detection part 3 amplifies and analog/digital- converts the light signals RS and outputs them as light data RD for indicating the received light quantity. A hold time control part 5 supplies hold timing signals HT for stipulating a hold period to a holding circuit 4. The holding circuit 4 holds the peak value or bottom value of the light data RD and outputs the hold value to a control part 8 at every end of the hold period. The control part 8 displays the hold value at a display part 6.
