PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure more accurate coincidence of phases between an image pickup signal and its corrected signal for each pixel by sampling and holding the defective pixel correction signals by means of the sample-and-hold pulse signals which are equal to the output signals of a CDS circuit and a solid state image pickup device, resetting the correction signals with a reset pulse signal equal to the output signal of the image pickup device and adding together the correction signals via an adder. SOLUTION: When a switch 2 is turned on by a clamp pulse signal 15a, the level of a field through period is clamped. The signal levels of a signal output period are sampled when a switch 4 is turned on by a sampling/holding pulse signal 15b. At the same time, the signal levels are held by a capacitor 6. When a switch 5 is turned on by a reset pulse signal 15c, the electric charge held by the capacitor 6 is discharged and an output signal 7a is outputted from an amplifier 7. Then the defective pixel correction signals 9a outputted from a correction signal generation circuit 9 are held by a capacitor 13 when a switch 11 is turned on. |
