摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of an SR generator, by coupling directly to its shaft as its exciter a rotating magnet small-sized generator, and by performing its initial excitation through the output current of the small-sized generator. SOLUTION: Coupling directly the rotor of an exciter 2 to the rotor shaft of an SR generator 1, a generator with a magnet rotor is selected as the exciter 2 to generator a voltage in the exciter 2 when driving the SR generator 1 by an external force. Then, turning on a switch 5 after confirming the output voltage of the exciter 2 by a control circuit 4, a current is fed from the exciter 2 to the SR generator 1 via a control circuit 3 to perform the initial excitation of the SR generator 1. Still, the control circuit 3 of the SR generator 1 comprises its drive circuit and the gate-drive-signal generating circuit thereof, and the control circuit 4 of the exciter 2 comprises its rectifier circuit and its rotational-position-signal generating circuit. Also, converting the output current of the exciter 2 into a DC current by the rectifier circuit, it is inputted to the drive circuit of the control circuit 3 of the SR generator 1 via the switch 5 to make it the current source of the initial excitation of the SR generator 1. Thereby, the size and cost of the SR generator 1 can be reduced.</p>
