PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of prescribing the position of terminal equipment and attaining improvement in the operation efficiency of golf links by providing the prescribed number of pieces of bidirectional communication equipment respectively having spread spectrum (SS) transmission/reception parts and an infrastructure side device composed of an information processor for calculating the position of the terminal equipment from the received signals of these equipment and working it into required information. SOLUTION: When a player carrying terminal equipment 60 with his wants to know a distance to a cup, request information is inputted to an input/output part 64. Input data are converted to digital signals by a signal processing part 63 and transmitted through spread modulation at an SS transmission part 61. The transmitted signals are received by transmission/reception equipment 10-40 at different places and demodulated by the SS reception parts and the time of reception is detected by the synchronizing timing of spreading codes. Then, the request information data and reception time are outputted through the signal processing part. These data are inputted to an information processor 50 and the position of the terminal equipment 60 is calculated.
