<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detecting apparatus with which the abnormal state of a measuring instrument on the basis of a dropout phenomenon or the like is surely detected by making use of the correlation property between respective analog measured values. SOLUTION: The output of a residual chlorine measuring instrument, that of an alkalinity measuring instrument and that of an ammonia measuring instrument as analog measured values are connected to the input side of a neural network N.N. The output of a pH measuring instrument is connected to their output sides as a teacher signal. The neural network N.N. is made to learn. In a measuring-instrument monitoring mode, the output A of the neural network N.N. and the output of the pH measuring instrument are compared by a CMP (comparator) 1, and their deviation C is found. When the deviation C exceeds a set value E, a measuring-instrument abnormality detecting signal is output from a CMP 2.</p> |
